The coming of the smartphone saved many people from the he hustles of life, these also include the hustle of wanting to feel like a man by using that which God provided either naturally or by taking matters into one’s own hands. Furthermore, the availability of WTF and other data friendly services/packages for the broke is an added advantage to this vice that is eating up both the males and the females, the males do it and the females love it, in fact they yearn for it.
This vice comes packed in a shiny box of sweet, mind blowing, sexual and gross words designed in a way to fill the gap left by sexual un-satisfaction, often times, it’s climaxed with censored pictures. It’s a process through which a girl wants to feel good without having a man by her side but rather on the other end of the screen and the guy prolly using one hand to text and the other to masturbate wants to ejaculate. The girl moans and screams and probably cums but without the physical presence of a man, the guy on the other end keeps sending messages till the babe either stops responding or cums, but only all these emotions are portrayed through a sext. This isn’t porn, it’s sexting.
According to Wikipedia, “Sexting is sending sexually explicit messages, primarily between mobile phones.”
In simple terms it’s the use of texting devices for the sake of sex instead of communication, with the use of images and words. Sexting is a 21st Century thing that is really happening mainly abroad but also in Uganda especially among university students and the Ugandan Elites. It doesn’t require one to have a condom or morning after-pills, all it requires is one to have a phone that can either send text, images or both which is the majority of the people in Uganda.
It all begins with a simple ‘Hi’ from a person from either a group or any random person, then they create a bond close to friendship but it never gets to that stage, they start sexting and before they know it they are craving to bang each other. The urge to sext is inspired by idleness and plenty of free/cheap data.
In Universities, sexting is very real in Uganda and common within students who often have the “friend for benefits” tag.
When a few students were randomly asked for the reasons as to why they would choose to sext, they gave answers such as;
Joseph: Isn’t it much better than going to the street for a fix? I think it is….the end result is still coming
Joan: Sexting doesn’t involve use of condoms or a dildo, I just imagine the guy I am talking to is on top of me.
Jona: I am never at the risk of attaining an STI. Et cetera.
But what people often forget is that they lose control of the sexual images the moment they send them to a person, plus this vice is much more the same as Pornography, so S/O to y’all who claim you can’t take part in a porno when you sext daily.
