Shalom everyone. With a weekend of wins and losses, to a country that shall not be named. I was stalking/scavenging for a MCM for this week. I found one that embodies the traits of a witty, humorous and passionate man. Passionate in every meaning by the way. From the matters of the heart to his work and his movies. If he fails at something, it’s only because he wasn’t passionate about it and thus he deemed it unnecessary.
David Ssekasi is a part time student at Makerere and also part time MC at various hangouts.
He was always the loudest and funniest boy in school, so when an MC opportunity availed it’s self he jumped right at it. Being an MC entails one to be an all round entertainer and calm speaker to big crowds. Luckily, he embodies that. He knows just about everything when it comes to our local entertainment and he can also break boarders when that sort of “lugambo” is needed.
We all know the entertainment industry is hard to break into and that only the talented and passionate can break through. But the pace at which David is moving, makes it seem so darn easy. Which is obviously not the case. You’re either born with the wit and grace of an entertainer or you’re not.
Of course life is not all about play and so David knows when to get his act together and thrieve for that degree. Despite the adrenaline, sexy mamas and booze that can seem a distraction in his line of business, he still understands that education is a basic in one’s life. He is one of those students just gets it on the first try and this ability has surely helped out with his passing those infuriating exams.
David attributes his most defining moment to when he met one of his best friends; Janat who has been rooting for him through all his life endaveours. He says life long friendships don’t come around often and he’s lucky to have bargained a good one.David is many things but not a macho man, therefore he has fears too. He’s most afraid of disappointing himself in life. Usually people are afraid of disappointing others but David has a “you will be fine” attitude so, his only worry is failing to live up to his potential.
Success hungry, witty and people person is what will first slap you in the face when you meet this stud. Another thing about him is his too cool for social media. Don’t know about that though!
