Darsan Ainembabazi, a finalist at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) doing Business Statistics, who won a once in a lifetime, all expenses paid trip to London through participating and winning the #ICreateTomorrow Campaign under the Creative category had lots of fun will in London last week.
Pictures on his social media pages indicate that the young, and vibrant creative is having a good time in London. Visiting some of the areas with great graffiti paintings, famous galleries and artistic hubs that are relevant to Africa, and meeting many creatives to help him put his vision to create tomorrow into a better context.
Vodafone Uganda, through their #ICreateTomorrow campaign which required participants to post 45 seconds video about their passion and how they are creating their tomorrow under the creative, entrepreneur and future business leader categories with a reward of taking the winners to London to meet entrepreneurs, business leaders, creatives, in an effort to help them develop their vision for tomorrow.
Ainembabazi, and two other winners, Chris Lutanga (Film maker), and Cathy Namubiru (Health Care Administrator) left for London a 2 weeks ago and only returned to Uganda on Thursday last week so as to practice whatever they learnt over the 1 week period they spent in London.
The social media campaign encourages and inspires youth to take charge of their future by offering them resources to enable them to create their tomorrow, such as the Shs. 40,000-4GB lifetime internet offer which lies in Vodafone’s stance on improving connectivity to drive entrepreneurialism and help create a strong future for Uganda by putting emphasis on the youth.
