Very Much! There are course units that I found that I was too good for and I ended up dodging them. Yes, I got rejected while at campus. There was this girl called Joan ( I will not tell her second name out of respect) at campus and because I thought I was the guy on the hook at campus because of the debates and the fact that people spoke about me. Well because of that ego, I made that move but to my dismay, she told me that I needed to cool down. Life is not in that perspective. You have to be down to earth in order to win favors from people.

Wewewe……. (we both bask in uncontrollable laughter). If you didn’t participate in Wewe, then you are as good as having not gone to a university because that prepared you for the hard world. I can reiterate, if you didn’t participate in strikes, you didn’t go to campus but to a secondary school.

What baffles you when you look at campus students right Now?
I think the Intellectualism at Makerere is dying out. I’ve visited Makerere, visited public lectures and you will hear the quality of debates, the quality of the lectures and the quality of the language and it needs thorough checking. Makerere was referred to as the Harvard of Africa we need back that lost glory. I participated in the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) elections and whenever a student of Makerere would stand up, the hall would go as silent as a grave yard and even a needle dropping would be heard…that was respect!
