The last weekend of September was started on a high note. Kampala partygoers were treated yet again to an exciting afternoon of German cultural activities and merriment at Oktoberfest Kampala on Saturday, 29th September 2018. Revellers flocked the Uganda Museum Grounds over the weekend for the third edition of the action-packed beer and food festival powered by Tusker Lite.
The much-anticipated annual fiesta attracted people from all walks of life. The evening kicked off with beer drinking straw challenges, tug-of-war, beer pong, arm wrestling, Stein hoisting challenge, beer speed drinking among others. It was characterized by colourful celebrations of German and Ugandan culture, food and drinks plus an all diva entertainment crew who delivered live performances to the delight of revellers.
“Today’s events were definitely thrilling for every one of us. We had many activities, games and foods which were showcased that exposed us widely to an exciting portion of the fun German culture and experiences that we hold dear to our hearts and look forward to celebrating with you every year,” Dr Albrecht Conze the German Ambassador who also doubled as a guest of honour.
“The Oktoberfest is about giving revellers lots of fun through various cultural experiences and jam-packed entertainment. Tusker Lite is the perfect companion for events that bring friends together in celebration,” said Grace Namutebi, UBL Brand Manager, Premium Beers. Other activities at the event included a wardrobe fun costumes competition and eating challenges where the overall winner, Peace Benz, took home a business class return air ticket from Brussels Airlines that allows them a trip to any destination in Europe.
