ESTHER NANTAMBI
Beautiful, young and very eye catching is Najma Salim, a student of Journalism and Communication at Makerere University. You don’t know the definition of the word “beauty” before you meet this face. Najma is one girl that has made writers of books like “The beautiful ones are not yet born” seem myopic and disturbingly annoying.
Her colour is one thing that will have you staring and then there comes the beauty.’whuuuu-flawless.” Her dress code is always splashed with some colour here and there leaving her effortlessly noticeable.
However, not every fly will zoom around this particular girl be it male or female for that matter. Najma has serious ATTITUDE that always puts familiarizing fellas in their place. If “hi” is to be your starting point on this girl, you might as well save it for the next person you will meet. So please tell others to tell others to leave their village excitement to themselves in her presence. It always seems like there is an invisible poster reading “Look but don’t touch…or familiarise ” –and they always look, They have no choice in this matter anyway. It is like viewing an antique secluded in a glass at a museum.
For a person that passes off as mean and full of herself, Najma’s friends have a different story to tell.
“Naj has the biggest heart ever”, Esther, friend to Naj comented. Najma will walk through the fires of hell for a friend if she has to and she is always there for them-always. She cries and laughs with them. You can be sure that when you have Naj for a friend, you have yourself a TRUE friend. Naj is a big spender, very selfless and a generous person.
“When am rich, all people around me are not just happy but are hApEEE.” Naj always says.
All the beauty and attitude however are not the reasons why the bee thinks Najma stands out. It is her strength and commitment. Naj is a mother! Surprised?-well, I was too. Najma Salim mothers 10-month-old, Janelle Zoe Mugisa that obviously takes her beauty from the mother.(Fathers are always discredited in these matters anyway). Naj is reported not to have missed any classes during the pregnancy despite all the complications involved. She continued school without a dead year and is still flourishing in looks with unsuspecting men always running after her.
Well, if you thought having a baby is reason enough to look lousy and drop out of school, please think again. Salute Naj.
