By now, we all know Aisha Nabukeera never won Miss Uganda 2015 pageant. She was not even among the top five finalists…..why?

After making it to the top ten contestants, it was the Q&A session. The judges fired questions to all the ten finalists. Aisha Nabukeera was asked; “If given a chance to be a TV presenter, who would you host and why?

She answered in a light panicky tone: “If given a chance, I would like to be Oprah Winfrey because she has helped solve people’s problems. I would like to do the same.” The MC, Roger Mugisha tried to ask the judges to rephrase the question for her but the crowd objected with boos. There was no second chance for her.

It is evident that she misfired. And after failing to answer the question correctly, it was the end of her long journey in the Miss Uganda 2015 contest. However, Aisha was given an award for Most Promising Lady.

After the event, Frank Gashumba exclusively spoke to Campusbee about Aisha Nabukeera’s fate after Miss Uganda.

“Well, first I am proud of her. Probably she would have won if she hadn’t panicked and misfired. She had the chance to ask the judges to rephrase the question. Nonetheless, she is very happy. I have never seen Aisha Nabukeera as excited in her entire life as contesting for Miss Uganda. I will organise a party for her and the friends that supported her. I am very happy because in four years to come, you will see a totally different Aisha Nabukeera. We are packaging her for the world market.”

Aisha Nabukeera was burnt with acid with her step-mother and was later adopted by businessman, Frank Gashumba. Her scars never held her back to contest with 20 other girls for the Miss Uganda 2015 crown.
