The council of college presidents to which he is chairman was created in his tenure and has helped advocate for quality academic assurance through research, innovation and capacity building. It has also laid a foundation for annual university exhibitions where all colleges exhibit on one day at the freedom square.
Though stereotyped as rude to which he absolutely has no reason why Kidega is a very enchanting gentleman who loves making friends. A rugby honcho, a big-time Springboks fan and watching Arsenal play a beautiful game of soccer with his friends also entices him.

The proud Acholi foresees himself doing a postgraduate in software engineering and majoring in artificial intelligence and cybercrime. He also dreams of giving back to his community in the north and Uganda at large in the near future.
