Olympia is by far the sleekest hostel in Kikoni, if not Makerere as a whole. The hostel which harbours the richest of kids in Makerere University could however face demolition if the reports reaching our desk hold any water.
By press time, Dr. Joseph Byamugisha, the owner of the high-end facility had been sued for criminal trespass and land forgery at the commercial court, TWED Towers by the family of Late Jackson Kamya Mutambuzi, a deceased Kikoni landlord, in reference to Kibuga Block 3 plots 595 and 596 in Kikoni where the hotel-esque Olympia Hostel sits.
On realising the parameters, Betty Nakalima, Nambi Getrude, Samuel Katelega and Grace Ziweta all whose late father had inherited the said land from the Late Erisa Muganguzi, went and opened up a case at Land Protection Police at CIID Headquarters in Kibuli vide GEF 790/2009.
Dr Byamugisha, the former president Uganda Law society and one of the directors of Byamugisha and Rwaheru Co. Advocates, said he could not comment on a matter before court on October 24th 2017 for defense hearing.
If this goes the complainants’ way, we shall witness an exodus from the beautiful Olympia.
