Following various kidnap cases reported to police lately, fresh information reaching us indicates that a 15 year old girl in Mpigi District has staged own kidnap to extort UGX 30 Million from her father identified as Mr. David kazibwe. Apparently this teenager told her father that she was kidnapped by four men who demanded a whooping UGX 30 Million last Saturday 26th May.
The incident happened in Bujuuko trading center, Maduna Sub-County where the underage suspect resides. According to Mr. Emmy Nuwagira, the officer in charge of Bujuuko police station, Kazibwe notified the police after his daughter suddenly showed up. Nuwagira adds that the girl told her father that she escaped from the kidnappers.
“The father told us (police) that his daughter was found at their home yesterday saying she was in pain after being gang raped by her alleged kidnappers. When asked where she had been held and who the kidnappers were, she failed to explain,” Nuwagira noted.
After finding her statements uncoordinated, the police decided to take the girl to Nyange Health Center to find out if she was really raped. The medical results shocked everyone after discovering that this girl had never engaged in any sexual intercourse activity in her life.
“The doctor’s report showed that she was still virgin and had no injury on her body”, Nuwagira said
After further interrogation, the girl finally admitted that she staged her own kidnap because she was tired of staying at home. “I was tired of staying at home. So, I wanted dad to give me money to go somewhere and start a new life.” The girl confessed. This girl is currently detained at Bujuuko police station for staging own kidnap and giving police false information.
