On Friday, over 150 students from the Buganda kingdom based University couldn’t join the rest of the graduands to be awarded their rightful academic qualifications.
These students of Civil and Mechanical engineering were blocked from graduation by National Council For Higher Education on grounds that their courses were not accredited.
However, Prof Arthur Sserwanga the Vice Chancellor asked the affected students to be calm promising them of possible graduation June this year.
The University hoped to have completed all the accreditation formalities by graduation but unfortunately. According to Prof Arthur, the University meets all the required qualifications for the verification of the course by the council.
