A total of 286 students at Makerere University students have passed with first class degrees. Of these, 41% (118) are female, while 59% (168) are male.
Bachelor of Human Resource Management (MUBS) registered the highest number of students to have passed with a first class honors in a single course (21). It was followed by Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with a total number of 15 students, the only course from Makerere University main institute above seven.
Other courses include: Bachelor of Leisure and Hospitality Management- 7, Bachelor of International Business- 12, Bachelor of Science Finance- 12, Bachelor of Commerce- 10, Bachelor of Business administration-14 and Bachelor of procurement and supply chain management-8 all from Makerere University Business School.
A total number of 14,318 students will graduate this week at Uganda’s oldest and major institute under the new chancellor, former Finance minister Mr Ezra Suruma. Meanwhile over 900 students missed out on graduation citing failure to achieve the minimum graduation load.
