After going through successful auditions and a boot camp, eight Kyambogo University beauty queens faced off last Friday as they competed for the Face of Kyambogo 2017/2018 crown. The final event happened at the Banda-based campus which kicked off around 7:00 PM.
Following various factors considered by the judges, it was decided that the 18-year-old Akullo Angel be crowned the new Face of Kyambogo. The newly crowned beauty is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Procurement and Logistics at Kyambogo University. Besides face of Kyambogo, Akullo was also crowned the new Miss Talent of Kyambogo University making her the only winner of two titles for the night.
Akullo was also given a cheque of 1 Million UGX in addition to being the new face for the Banda campusers.
The eight constants showcased different talents as well as rocking exclusively designed outfits by some of the talented designers at Kyambogo University. Among the talents showcased at this event included dancing, hair designing and acting.
Having number tags pinned on their waists, the Face of Kyambogo winner was identified by the judges with number 7…..The first runner-up number was Faith Ankunda, the second runner-up was Caroline Akol whereas Fatuma Nassuuna was named Miss Popularity.
