Scandal, chaos, controversy, intrigue. This is what defines University politics. The political season is right here, at Makerere university. Before the proverbial national politics cloud settles, another has engulfed Makerere. Brass band, Kadodi and the usual hustle and bustle.
Roy Ssemboga seems to have quite the reputation, having been on the Makerere Electoral Commission last year, the bald headed fellow, nicknamed “solar panel” for his bald head seems to be living in hard times. Earlier yesterday, accusations were hurled towards Makerere’s only political solar panel. Allan Katende, the propagator of these accusations, clearly affirms that Roy Ssemboga is a crime preventer.
“There’s no denying that Roy Ssemboga is a spy, he is only second in command to Opoya Michael (NRM guild candidate in previous campaign) and Bala David Bwiruka.( Outgoing Guild President) who top the list of Makerere crime preventers. He added that just like his bosses Opoya and Bala, Roy Ssemboga is a crime preventer who is no doubt on a mission to offer Makerere university to state house. Bala David wasn’t spared, he was accused of being a statehouse spy and for betraying Makerere university by “doing nothing.” Allan Katende adds that Roy sponsored Bala on his guild and that Roy is often seen in Opoya’s company.”
The scathing attack on the largest Makerere Guid Facebook group attracted the ire of Roy Loyalists who rose to his defence accusing Allan Katende of being biased and playing childish smear campaigns.
