MBALE: Over 2000 students will on Saturday November 15 receive their degree and diploma certificates at the Mbale based Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) during the 22nd graduation ceremony. According to the Deputy Academic Registrar Dr Umar Mwebesa , over 50 students have to wait to graduate after their names was crossed out of graduation list due to the failure of completing University dues and some of them with retakes as of the University policy.
However the university Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mr. Shaban Lukoya said the number of graduates has increased this year due to the trust people have in IUIU. “Generally the University enrollment has tremendously risen owing to the trust people have in IUIU,” he added.
Dr. Umar said the students who have not completed the University dues and those with retakes will have to wait up to next year to graduate, after clearing with the bursary and re- doing their papers respectively. The Mighty Drones in the Campusbee Hive congratulates all the graduands.

Graduation gowns for students from the main campus shall be obtained at the Main campus, Mbale and IUIU Liaison office, King Fahd Plaza- Kampala.
Graduands from the Main Campus who would wish to collect their graduation
gowns from King Fahd Plaza, Kampala should register at King Fahd Plaza before 1stNovember, 2014.Students of Kampala Campus, Arua Campus and the Females’ Campus shall obtain
their gowns from their Campuses.All graduands are reminded to observe IUIU dress code to be allowed to attend the
ceremony.The students who completed their studies in the previous academic years but did
not graduate will be allowed to graduate on satisfying the conditions stated in 1-5
above.No graduands, parents and all invited guests shall be allowed to attend the
graduation ceremony with any of the following gargets; fire arms, large bags, radio
communication gargets, cameras, pipes/ cylindrical objects, packed items including
foods/drinks or any other gargets described as dangerous to life.Kasiita Musa
