Following President Museveni’s directive to have all universities closed on Friday 20th March over Coronavirus, several students gearing up to join Makerere Law School are celebrating. The jubilant students were supposed to sit for their Law Pre-Entry exams on April 18th.
The exams have been postponed to yet to be announced date since the university will be closed around the earlier set date.
Among the requirements for one to do these exams, one must hold a UCE with at least 5 passes and a UACE with atl east 13 points and 12 points for male and female applicants respectively (senior six leavers)
For diploma holders, one must have attained a diploma from a chartered institution and certified copies of transcripts must be attached to the application forms. The degree holders must be graduates in any discipline from a chartered university and certified copies of transcripts must be attached to the application forms.
The Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe has ordered students to vacate university premises before Museveni’s deadline in a bid to execute the nation leader’s directive.
It should be recalled that all applicants intending to sit for these exams were tasked to submit their applications by Tuesday 14th April, 2020.
