Detectives have started looking into a case of sodomy committed by Mr. Tumushabe Nelson, a male adult trader in Mbarara Central Market, on a 22-year-old adult male resident of Kisenyi cell, Kakoba ward, Mbarara City.
It is alleged that on the night of 10/10/2023 at 1:00am, the suspect took advantage of the victim under the pretence of finding him work.
The victim claims that on September 9, 2023, at about 7:30 p.m., while looking for work in the Mbarara City, he met the suspect at Mailo Two on Masaka Road, who later drove the victim to his home, which is also nearby. On October 10, 2023, at about 1 in the morning, the suspect allegedly turned on the victim.

The suspect then drove the victim to his home, which is also in the same neighbourhood. On October 10, 2023, around 1 a.m., the suspect allegedly turned on the victim, threatened him, and forced him to have anal sex (sodomised) with him.
After breakfast, the suspect drove the victim to his place of employment, Mbarara Central Market, where he explained to the victim that it would be difficult for him to get a job without a national identity card.
After a medical examination of the victim revealed inflammations and evidence of sodomization, the assigned team of investigators arrested the culprit.
SP Kasasira Samson PRO Rwizi stated “the team proceeded to the scene of crime and documented it, upon search several tangible exhibits were recovered which included, 22 personal lubricants-water base oil, 52 condoms,19strips of HIV testing kits and 02 tins of ARVs recovered and exhibited.”
