Mak students go in for polls to vote for their next guild president. An opinion poll done by Campusbee reveals that a whole 50% of Ivory Tower students will not cast their vote come tomorrow.
This authoritative website spoke to over 2000 students from the university halls of residence, hostels and colleges/ schools in a two week survey.
“I will not vote! My candidate, Andrew Mujinya was disqualified because of infighting in FDC, Muk chapter. Adeke wanted that so-called Aber to win, now let her vote for her, msstwww. I WILL NOT VOTE,” an angry John Aleka told the buzzing BEE.
Most students believe that the elections are not fair, there’s a lot of bribery in the university electoral commission. “I have no belief that this Muk EC is independent. Money is going to be used to determine the winner so why waste my time lining up to cast my vote?” Ephraim Isabirye, a second year IT student queries.
As for the girls, most of them say they will be locked in their hostels going about their daily business of catching movies. “I will be here at my hostel usual watching my movies. I can’t lineup in long queues yet I won’t gain in any way,” a first year female student who proffered anonymity told Campusbee.
It is therefore evident that half of the university population will tomorrow decide the new guild president to replace FDC’s Anna Adeke.
