83rd MAK Guild President Awarded By University Council

The 83rd Guild President of Makerere University was on Tuesday morning awarded by the university council with an award of exemplary leadership as a member of the council.

Kato Paul, who served as the University’s Guild President for the year 2017/18 couldn’t feel any happier as he shared the good news on his Facebook platform.

“I served Makerere as guild president. I have been recognized and appreciated. Big thanx to Makerere University council, management and all stakeholders. The vice chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe in particular, thanks a bunch.” Kato posted.

On the same matter,the Vice Chancellor who presented the award also shared about how exemplary Kato was during his term in office as the Ivory Tower’s guild.

“This morning I had the pleasure to present to Mak Guild President 2017/18 Kato Paul the Council award for exemplary leadership as Member of Council. Good to nurture the future leaders of our community.” Nawangwe wrote.

Speaking of Politics, Kato served under the Forum for Democratic change (FDC) MAK Chapter and was highly criticized for siding with the administration in violent moments like strikes.
