Police have shot at Makerere University students with live bullets leaving some critically injured. Emojong Denis, one of the Makerere students was grazed by a stray bullet at University Hall leaving him wounded.
According to our reporters on ground, over five students have been left injured and others beaten to pulp.
One of the students, identified as Ssali Richard, a second year education student at the university was terribly beaten up by military police and is currently admitted at the university hospital.

The demonstrations at Makerere started off earlier today as a peaceful march to the parliament but later turned violent as police tried to disperse the determined students. Teargas, bullets and canes dominate the demonstrations as police continues to take over Makerere Hill.
