The National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) which is the regulatory body of Uganda’s higher education is organizing its second yearly education conference aimed at discussing the role of 4th Industrial Revolution in the education sector.
The conference will take place at Hotel Africana stating on Monday 16th to 17th March under the theme; “Higher education and the private sector Engagement: Preparing Uganda’s Human Capital for the 4th Industrial revolution.
Hon John. C Muyingo, State minister for higher education is expected to grace the conference in addition to other government officials and academicians.
Dr. Ayine Robert, a senior higher education officer at NCHE, said that the conference will mainly focus on the discussion about the impact of the 4th industrial revolution and its influence on the ways of life.
“Since the world has advanced. This 4th industrial revolution is about us and it is vital for us to look for ways on how we can take advantage of the new technologies to brand our lives better. Throughout the conference, issues to deal with artificial intelligence, robotic, virtual reality, internet of things and how their impact on our everyday life shall be discussed’’ Dr. Robert explained.
