A team of inspectors from The Allied Health Professionals Council led by Prof. John Charles Okiria who is the chairman visited Gulu University main campus and were received by Associate Professor Davy David Okello Owiny, the university deputy Vice Chancellor together with Dr. Jerry Bagaya, the Academic Registrar.
The main reason for the visit by the body was to inspect the facilities for offering Bachelors of Science in Public Health programs for the purpose of recognition, publication of the university and registration of graduates of Bach. of Science in Public Health.
The chairman of the council, Prof. Okiria John Charles declared that according to his committee inspections, Gulu University has the minimum standards to teach and manage all its public health programs.
Prof Okiria made this declaration while addressing the management team from the multi functional laboratory conference hall after carrying out the inspection. He also promised that the team would write back to the university their position and advise on areas that still need improvement.
In a conclusive remark, the Vice Chancellor of Gulu University, Prof. Openjuru George Ladaah said the university is very much committed to work with the council to see to it that public health programs at Gulu University are the best in the entire continent.
