The University fraternity has yet again lost a great, young soul. Lubega Bashir, a third year medical student at the Northern Uganda based Gulu Varsity on Tuesday succumbed to cushing’s syndrome. Cushing syndrome is a disorder that occurs when your body is exposed to high levels of the hormone cortisol. It may also occur if you take too much cortisol or other steroid hormones.
He was laid to rest in Busunju along Hoima road yesterday.
Faculty of medicine, Year 3 have described him as a humble, brave, courageous, friendly, hardworking and God fearing student.
Last week, Makerere University student, Iga Martin passed on. He succumbed to Leukemia that he had been battling for over 3weeks at Mulago Referral Hospital.
