Afrostone Fellowship banned from Livingstone Hall Over ‘Noise’

Last year we broke the story about how The popular Afrostone fellowship was on the verge of being expelled. Afrostone is a union of Africa hall of residence and Livingstone hall, thus the name Afrostone fellowship, a vibrant fellowship that attracts droves of religious students every Monday from 6 to 9, and a quieter version at Africa hall every Wednesday.
The Pastor Grace Lubega led Fellowship is no more after being summarily expelled from Livingstone hall for among other reasons making too much noise. Last year, a special meeting was held by the Livingstone residents deliberating on whether to expell, the Christian fellowship. One of the hall elders, Akol Bonny said, “The fellowship is a direct attempt to frustrate our happiness by preaching against beer and women, ” There however had been rising animosity towards the fellowship because of the fact that heavy speakers are used and the” speaking in tongues session.” A rather tough talking, Mulindwa, a resident of Livingston, added, “The tongues are fake, those guys start practicing even before they reach the hall, the decision to expel them was long overdue.”

The hall speaker Baguma Laurel, however distanced himself from the accusations and said the Hall is used by Bachelor of commerce students who complained about the much noise the fellowship makes.
Not all residents were exactly happy about the move, Tayebwa Brian, Architecture second year student, lamented that morality was hitting the rocks and the fellowship was only a two hour event we should have stayed.
Akol, sarcastically said that he’d miss preying on the religious belles…
It should be remembered that the Lubega Grace fellowship was banned in MUBS two years ago over lack of express permission to perform.
Pastor Grace Lubega wasn’t available for comment, but posters were seen advertising the same fellowship at Makerere Rugby grounds which incidentally is a training ground for various Taekwondo camps and Rams and Impis rugby teams. We wait to see how Christ intervenes against these rather violent sports.
