Yesterday 27th February 2020, Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) released results for Uganda advanced examinations which were done between November and December last year.
According to the results over 65,000 students obtained at least two principle passes which gave them a free ticket to join university in the coming years. Having realized that students come from different backgrounds and many of them fail to get tuition to fulfill their dreams of joining university and study their careers yet they had passed well, the government of Uganda through the Ministry of Education introduced a policy known as loan scheme where students can study on loans and they payback after their studies .
This scheme targets fresh students who are joining universities and other recognized institutions especially those who had just finished S6.
Speaking at the release of UACE results yesterday, Dr. J.C Muyingo the state Minister for higher Education advised UACE candidates who passed to stay alert so that when time comes they can be able to apply for loan scheme in time to avoid being left out because many students apply late when the lists of the successful applicants are about to be released and they end up left behind especially those in remote areas. He also warned students against using false information in the process of applying that can result into nullifying their application.
Campus Bee will keep you updated in case any chance comes up. Congratulations to our brothers and sisters who passed their examinations.
