Award winning gospel artist Sandra Suubi graduated with a Masters in Fine Art during the 68th graduation ceremony at Makerere University on Friday. Most popular for her hit singles Nsiimye, Togwamu Suubi and Kingdom come could not keep her excitment as she showered her social media platforms with messages thanking God, her family and friends.
She encouraged everyone to pursue their dreams and not give up nor matter the challenges. On her graduation day she was dressed in an outfit with plastic bottles at the bottom. When asked why the plastic bottles, she said it is to show the different ways we can recycle plastic and make it useful. From this conversation we believe she has started to apply what she mastered into.
When asked about how she juggled both music and the books, Suubi said it was a not an easy path, but with the help of God, her management (Karizm Business) and her friends and support from family she was able to do both. She further went on to encourage parents with talented children to go on and support their talents, as one can handle both academics and talent development and nurturing with the right support system and guidance and to those with talents, you can still go to school and pursue your talent as well. An educated person will always have an advantage at certain things in life.
Sandra shared with us a hint of what is happening this year. She will be releasing her EP and go on a church tour before releasing the Anthems of Life album.
