After learning that many Ugandans are struggling to clear their medical bills following a spike in COVID-19 cases, aYo has come up with affordable policies for clients affected by the deadly virus.
According to the aYo Managing Director Allan Lwanga, they have come up with two policies which are set to save Ugandans from the burden of medical bills. My aYo Hospital Policy will now be extended to cover COVID-19 upon hospitalization for policies older than 6 months.
Since aYo offers medical insurance services to MTN subscribers, these policies can only be enjoyed by dialing *296# on the mentioned network. Simply register on your cellphone for aYo Recharge with Care and get a minimum of 30 days’ cover every time you load MTN airtime.
“We at AYO are thinking about you during this pandemic. Our recharge with care My Hospital Policy will be extended to cover Covid upon hospitalization for policies older than 6 months. For UGX 10,000 you get UGX 1,000,000 in hospital cash.” Lwanga said.
More details indicate that aYo is offering a double life benefit to all clients lost to COVID to help their families on the alarming burial costs.
“We at aYo commiserate with all our clients who have lost loved ones during this pandemic. We are offering a double life benefit for all our clients lost to COVID to help with increased costs of burial. For UGX10,000 a month a client will now be eligible for UGX 4,000,000 upon death due to COVID. We can not take the pain away, but let us ease the financial pressure of bereavement.” Lwanga added.
