The Bank of Uganda (BoU) has announced 40 vacant positions for Banking Officer II roles, specifically targeting fresh graduates eager to kickstart their careers in the banking sector. The Banking Officer II positions are open to candidates with First Class or Upper Second-Class degrees from recognized universities. The fields of Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Library & Information Science, Human Resource, Procurement, Public Relations, and Law (with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice) are all welcome areas of study for applicants.
The qualifications sought include a range of competencies such as analytical skills, attention to detail, teamwork, interpersonal skills, integrity, transparency, problem-solving abilities, and excellent written and verbal communication. Applicants should also be no older than 26 years at the time of the advert’s closure.
For interested candidates, the application process requires the submission of an application letter, a copy of their National Identity Card (Front and Back), a detailed Curriculum Vitae using the standard BoU format, and copies of academic credentials and professional training certificates.
Applications should be hand-delivered to the Bank of Uganda Headquarters at Plot 37/45 Kampala Road, clearly marked with “Application for the Position of Banking Officer II” and addressed to the Director of the Human Resource Department.
The deadline for applications is set for the 2nd of April 2024. BoU emphasizes that any applicant found with concealed or falsified information and academic credentials will face disqualification.
