After being thumped to pulp, MUBS FDC guild candidate Walter Niwagaba Kakuru has finally broken the silence on who was responsible for it. Kakuru has not hesitated to reveal whom he thinks beat him up even if he does not have concrete evidence.
According to Kakuru, a group of UYD members intentionally planned to beat him up so that he does not hold one of his last campaign rally the next day. “I am sure UYD did this. They wanted to make sure that I don’t hold my rally the next day,” Kakuru revealed to Campus Bee.

Unlike recent reports that Kakuru’s pals flee when he was being thumped, the aspiring guild candidate has revealed that he was beaten together with other three friends including his campaign manager Henry Musinguzi and another one only identified as Ashraf.
Musinguzi was injured on the hand and he revealed that he still feels some pain all over his body. Another student among the injured was Ashraf whom Musinguzi says was badly injured on the mouth although we did not get a chance to see him in person.

When we contacted DP’s Emanuel Awori to comment on the matter, he clearly condemned the actions that were committed on his opponent and called upon MUBS students to be couscous when moving.
He stated that his party had no hand in thumping his opponent. Awori also added that the security in the premises and surrounding areas needs to be tightened. “I am really sad for what was committed on one of our students, but I call upon everyone to beware of the hostile environment. I cannot blame it on security but it needs to be tightened,” Awori revealed.
