It is a tough time for a one Brian Makwasi, a Makerere University graduate, who has lost his mother before fulfilling her wish to see her son secure employment in a competitive country.
The graduate’s mother breathed her last on Saturday, leaving the weight of sadness and uncertainty, on his shoulder.
Being the only educated and graduate child, Makwasi expressed his pain through a post on X (formerly Twitter) saying: “All she had was me, being the only educated and graduate of her 3children, what hurts is her going minus me being employed for her to enjoy some of my fruits. All I need is ur support and prayers friends. Till we meet again Mayi”
Makwasi graduated in Development Studies in 2018 and has, for over 6 years, held to nothing but his envelope containing his academic certificates hoping that one day, he will get a job and support his mother to take care of his family. The dream of putting a smile on his mother’s face to achieve a job he actually studied for has been cut short.
After several attempts to find a decent job, Makwasi resorted to dealing in food/restaurant business in which he delivers services such as breakfast, fast foods and solid meals.
At Campus Bee, we pray that Makwasi’s mother Rests in eternal peace.
