Besigye to pay over shs250m annually for son's Havard University tuition

Anselm Kizza-Besigye son to FDC opposition icon Kizza Besigye Kifefe was admitted to the prestigious Harvard University.

In a small digging by Campus Bee, through Harvard’s official website, we learned that the price Kizza Besiye and wife Winnie Byanyima shall be footing for Anselm is one that an average Ugandan only dreams.

For his tenure at Harvard University, Anselm is expected to pay fees amounting to $72,000 (around shs248m) per year- if he does not apply for Student’s Financial aid.

Breaking it down, here is an estimate of the nine-month stay at Harvard University with a break down in the expenditure for every student to have what’s described as a “moderate standard of living.”

Upon receiving the good news of her son’s admission, Ms Byanyima tweeted: “I am speechless! Anselm has been admitted to Harvard Univ. Proudest mum! Thanking God.”

Anselm has been the Oxford University Debating Club President after overwhelming victory earlier this year in April.

This is one of the most prestigious debating Clubs in the world.
