Anslem Besigye, son of former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leader Kizza Besigye has been awarded with a scholarship opportunity at the University of Chicago.
Anslem was admitted to the University of Chicago to pursue Masters of Arts in Social Sciences for the academic year 2022-2023.
In the admission letter sent to Anslem, his scholarship award is worth $40,000 under the Quadrangle Scholars Research Scholarship.
‘’Congratulations on behalf of the division of social sciences, I am delighted to offer you admission to the University of Chicago for graduate study in the Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences beginning in Autumn 2022. The decision reflects the confidence of the master of arts program in the social sciences faculty in your accomplishments to-data and in your academic and professional promise,’’ the admission letter reads.
The scholarship award comes with terms and conditions of which Anslem has to accept before April 20, 2022. This includes paying a non-refundable enrollment deposit of $500 which will be applied towards quarter tuition.
Currently Anslem resides in Geneva Switzerland.
