Bishop Stuart University has announced the passing of one of its students, Namara Comfort, who was pursuing a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
In a statement shared by the university, management expressed deep sorrow over her death and extended condolences to her family, friends, and classmates.
“We regret to announce the demise of our dear student, Namara Comfort, who was pursuing a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, classmates and all who knew her. May her soul rest in eternal peace,” the statement read.
The university community is expected to gather for a funeral service in her honour at 12:00 PM at the University Main Campus, where students and staff will pay their last respects.
Her passing has cast a somber mood across the campus, with many describing her as a valued member of the university community.
