Campus Bee has learnt of a love affair gone bad following the death of a one Kampala University graduate only identified as Sarah who was murdered by her boyfriend after she refused to marry him.
According to reports from residents in the area of the crime scene in Kampala, the two had been cohabiting together for a long time and that the boyfriend paid the deceased’s university tuition for a 5 year course.
The boyfriend is unknown and is still at large and he is believed to have fled in the middle of the night when the incident happened. Police is still investigating the whole case.
One of the deceased’s relatives who preferred anonymity and couldn’t reveal much, told Campus Bee that the suspect switched off his phones and all the efforts to trace him are futile.
Campus Bee also picked reactions from the residents in the area of the incident and according to them, this was a very wrong action for the boyfriend to take regardless of the disappointment he got, after paying the deceased’s tuition for 5 years.
“Relationships are increasingly claiming our children’s lives. This for example, the girl spent his boyfriend’s money overtime and in the end, she decided to disappoint him that way. However, this wasn’t the right solution for the boyfriend to take.” Said a one Nantume, a resident in the area.
