Law Development Centre (LDC) went to the polls on Friday 6th October, after a tight week of vigorous campaign.
The contest that had attracted over 4 contests saw Stanley Okecho, a former guild prime minister, in Makerere’s 82nd guild government under Roy Ssemboga, emerge overall winner with 96 votes.
It was a tight road of the guild presidency at LDC. Campaigns started on Monday and elections were held on Friday 6th oct.
Okecho Stanely garnered a total of 96 votes and was closely followed by Kawuki Mawulaga who got 74 votes.
Josephine Anyo came third with 66.
In an earlier interview with Mr. Okecho, he had alerted us about his plans for the centre for learning.
“I know that with constructive engagements and lobbying with the administration, set structures in the LDC will be utilised to promote students’ welfare”, he said.
From Campus Bee, we wish the newly elected president a successful term of office as we await to see how he transforms his campaign promises into reality.
