MBALE: Holy students at Islamic University in Uganda, Mbale campus this evening turned rowdy, staging a strike that didn’t even last for five minutes, Campusbee has learnt. Our reporter in IUIU reveals that Police was forced to fire live bullets in the air to disperse students who were almost beating up each other.
“It all started after an inter-culture football match misunderstanding between the Basoga Vs Nigerians; the referee who was officiating the match and the warden have been beaten up… students attempted to strike but have been dispersed by the bullets fired by the police. The rector, Dr. Ahmed Kawesa Sengendo is now addressing the students as I speak,” reports one of our workerbees.
