News coming in just now is that the guild election process at Kyambogo University that was scheduled to take place today has been cancelled under unknown circumstances.
According to one of the polling agents who preferred anonymity, Police officers came and told them to silently and swiftly vacate the polling station without causing any suspicions. However, the reason as to why the elections won’t happen was not given.
Unconfirmed reports indicate that some of the guild aspirants are not on the ballot papers, which the electoral commission took long to notice.
The situation is still calm since most students are not yet aware of the situation on ground.
