Roy Ssembogga, the Guild President of Makerere University has been arrested with other students as they attempted to march to parliament and petition the speaker, Rebecca Kadaga.
The students are protesting the closure of the university.
The students were arrested from the university’s main gate and were bundled onto the police pickup. Ssembogga claims he had got clearance from IGP Kale Kayihura to hold a peaceful march to Parliament.
Their whereabouts are still unknown but Campus Bee will keep you updated.
