Makerere University Business School students are on a strike. They are demonstrating against the university’s new move to scrap some courses.
Makerere University today announced that it would scrap over 31 courses to cut costs. On reading this saddening news on Campusbee, Mubs students stormed out of their lecture rooms and took to the streets while holding branches.
Police is in the area trying to calm down the students. Police has fired teargas to disperse the students who had started looting property from kiosks next to capital shoppers.
