NAKAWA: Security at Akamwesi Hostel, Nakawa, where some of Makerere University Business School [MUBS] students reside has arrested a man suspected to be an Alsha-bab terrorist, Campusbee has learnt.
Sources at Akamwesi told this website that the suspect was caught with a map of the entire MUBS campus, what security has termed as the “the plan of a terror attack”.
“He passed around the gate several times. He looked suspicious and whenever he passed by, he would look around the hostel and and turn around so fast. We became suspicious and we called him. He tried to run but we managed to get a hold of him. We didn’t find any weapon but he was with a map of MUBS,” a security personnel at Akamwesi told this website.
On Friday evening, Gen Kale Kayihura told journalists that Al-Shabab plan to attack a school, College or University along a major highway in Uganda.
