The struggle for some students to make it through and out of campus/education is real to so many. The limiting factors are so many and some even too weird to understand or relate with.
Here is a student,
Austin wanted to pursue his dream through a vocational institute right after his S.4 exams but his parents had planned otherwise and wanted him to do a business related course. This he had to accept or be out of school. He decided to chase his first love after finishing with what his parents wanted. He applied, got accepted but then had no money to pay as his parents were not willing to finance this particular journey.
“After a long thought, I decided to apply for a certificate in my dream career even when I knew no one would finance it.”
Luckily, a cousin accepted to pay for his first term which went well. However, the rain to ruin his party fell again when the second semester came and he had no source of tuition. He luckily applied and got accepted for a government scholarship at UPOLET. In 2016, Austin finished at UPOLET and he is now hoping to find a job, save up and upgrade on his education.
To Austin, being able to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering feels like ‘Pure sex and paradise’. Let us join to make his dream come true and keep him feeling this way much longer.
