Police in Mbarara City are intensifying the search for Doreen Twongyirwe, a lecturer at Bishop Stuart University (BSU).

It is alleged that she attacked her 16-year-old maid, Anita Kansiime, by pouring hot water on her.

The incident reportedly occurred after Kansiime failed to bathe Twongyirwe’s children on time, leading to a heated argument.

This case has garnered significant public attention, given Twongyirwe’s respected role as an academic at BSU.

Authorities are investigating, and Kansiime is currently receiving medical treatment for the severe burns caused by the attack.

Twongyirwe, who resides in Katete Central Cell, fled after the incident, and police have issued a public appeal for information leading to her arrest.
