Busitema University marked a significant milestone as it celebrated its 14th Graduation Ceremony at the Gymnasium, Busitema Campus in Busia District.
Nearly 1500 students donned their caps and gowns to receive their hard-earned degrees amidst a backdrop of pride and accomplishment.
Hon. John C. Muyingo, representing the Minister of Education and Sports, graced the occasion as the chief guest, adding prestige to the event with his presence.
The highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of academic excellence, as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Paul Waako, presented Excellence Awards to six outstanding students:
- Mugala Jackline, Bachelor of Business Administration (Weekend), from the Faculty of Management Sciences, was honored for achieving the highest CGPA of 4.42.
- Nakyanzi Latifah, Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Economics, showcased exceptional performance with a CGPA of 4.38 from the Faculty of Natural Resources and Environment Sciences.
- Abiko Gertrude, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, stood out with an impressive CGPA of 4.71 from the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Sciences.
- Kanene Levi Brian, Master of Science in Materials Engineering, demonstrated remarkable academic prowess with a CGPA of 4.61 from the Directorate of Graduate Studies, Research, and Innovation.
- Asumini Wana, Bachelor of Science in Agro-Processing Engineering, earned recognition for her outstanding performance, achieving a CGPA of 4.65 from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
- Wachira Elijah Muturi, Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, exhibited exemplary dedication with a CGPA of 4.21 from the Faculty of Health Sciences.
These exceptional students were lauded for their commitment to academic excellence and their significant contributions to their respective fields of study.
