National Resistance Movement (NRM) Member of Parliament, Hajjati Rehema Watongola of Kamuli municipality has been kicked out of parliament by court over academic qualifications.
The MP who recently swore in was condoned in the armor of a degree from the great Busoga University, which she was stripped out of days later after strong opposition fire brand, Proscovia Salaamu Musumba petitioned the authenticity of her academic documents.
Jinja high court yesterday, Tuesday 28th sent Hajjati Watongola packing out of her newly awarded office after investigations concluded that her University certificate was a forgery. However, Hajjati Watongola still insists her documents are legitimate and is allegedly organizing lawyers to prove that.
For her nomination, Hajjati Watongola presented a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) from Town Hall in Jinja plus a diploma and degree certificate in Public Administration and Management from Busoga University.
She becomes the 8th NRM member of parliament to be thrown out over academic qualifications.
