Why Campus Romance Is A Bad Idea

The biggest percentage of University Students think they are strong enough to handle their books and romance at the same time. No! It’s not a good idea because balancing these two comes with a lot of confusing situations in the end. Trust me, this is not about being mature, but rather about a human’s inability to balance multiple tasks at the same time.

Before deciding whether to date or not, take note of the most popular troubles that come with campus romance.

Huge Destruction

In this 21st Century, the meaning of the term “dating” makes no meaning if there is no sex as most couples have argued. Being in a state of thinking about sex, kissing and related acts leaves you in no situation of thinking about the main goal you went at campus for. This is likely to affect a student’s grades and end up missing the whole point of studying. A student is likely to miss one of the two or both.

Could Bring Mental Problems

Campus romance could bring mental problems when one of the partners discovers being cheated on. It is now becoming common in relationships- something that has left people over thinking and getting no answers in the end. This kind of over thinking gives a student no time to settle and could lose his/her mind in the name of trying to bring back the broken pieces.

Giving Parents Hard Time

Most Ugandan parents do not buy the idea of seeing their children in relationships especially when still pursuing studies. It is likely to spark off disagreements between parents and kids. Some parents consider their kids being undisciplined, not listening and blame them for going rogue. If you want to win an African parent’s respect, do as they say.

Solves Nothing

It can take you a decade trying to find a single reason why students should date. The same things that tempt campusers to date are the same ones that bring their affairs down. Most students think they can begin long lasting relations with fellow students but it is all a lie. For example, a student can start dating because of boredom and desire to have a companion, but end up being bored by the relationship itself or the partner.

For the case of guys, they have lost the little pocket money in the quest of providing for their lovers and end up creating a money problem instead of a saving solution.
