The good news reaching our desk indicates that Carol Atuhirwe who has been battling throat and Lung cancer was flown to India for treatment yesterday. The treatment will be carried out In Bangalore at Narayana Hospital, India.
This comes a few weeks after Carol’s hopes to travel to the USA for her scheduled operation as earlier planned were cancelled after visiting surgeons from USA concluded that her condition requires close care and it should be handled from here (Uganda).
However, the initial team from USA which could no longer carry out surgery on Carol advised the Uganda Cancer Institute to find an alternative international health facility to handle her case something that has finally been done.
Carol and those who were in charge of her campaign went to their social media pages and posted their thanks to those who have supported her (Atuhirwe Carol) in all forms and ways they could.
