Makerere University Lumumba hall residents stormed the MUBS Freshers’ ball on Friday night April 22nd, 2022, bringing the event to a standstill as they took over the stage.
A swarm of Lumumba boys stepped onto the freshers’ ball stage and usurped the microphones which they used to sing their ‘cultural songs’ that were full of obscenity plus their hall anthem.
This caused a scuffle on stage as they (Lumumba boys) became glued on stage moments after their ‘cultural’ moment only to be dragged off by the angry organizers.
Before the scuffle, some Lumumba students had stolen their way onto the stage, waving their hall anthem as the musicians performed.
MUBS students were warned prior to the event to avoid chaos as this would result into a ban of social events just as the case is at Makerere University main campus.
It should be remembered that Makerere University suspended all social events following the 2022 freshers’ ball scuffle that was birthed by hall superiority complex.
Lumumba hall boys attended the freshers’ ball at MUBS and ‘stole’ the stage for awhile in a bid to prove their superiority. The freshers’ ball was staged at the MUBS play ground.
