Students at Nkumba University have initiated impeachment proceedings aimed at properly chasing out of office their guild president, Byron Luswata Expedito whom they marched out of Campus and chased away. Never to be seen again.
The students accuse Luswata of embezzling funds stretching to over 50 million after he appointed a one Agnes Atim, his girlfriend, the Finance Minister and together, embezzled guild funds meant for activities such as the bazaar from where they ate over 20M alone.
“She failed to present clear accountability and above all appeared arrogant and disrespected the student’s Parliament. They couldn’t take it anymore and impeached her. Now they’re coming for the lover.” Our source within the university told us.
Impeachment proceedings have already been initiated and they’re expected to take not more than two weeks. But the guild president has not been seen ever since they chased him out of campus.
“The Parliament had to first pass a vote of no confidence which they did and thereafter he will be given a chance to appear for a fair hearing.” Our source added.
