We are not exactly sure whether the COVID-19 pandemic is a misfortune or a blessing in disguise as news reaching our desk indicates that Uganda Christian University (UCU) Students who are stuck in hostels due to the lockdown have invented sexual ways of spending their time in this seemingly unending lockdown.
It is worth noting that the lockdown saw a good number of students including International students among others get stuck in Hostels of residence as the President had banned any means of transport that could have seen them go home.
Well, our sources informed us that students in these hostels have resorted to having endless sexual encounters with each other to the extent of causing scarcity of Condoms in the nearby pharmacies. This has forced the prices of condom prices to increase with some types like “O” costing between 4000-5000shs.
When asked why the prices had been increased, Mr. Kibirige a pharmacy owner in Bugujju a Mukono suburb said “The problem is that we are no longer receiving supplies of condoms yet the students who stayed behind are always demanding for the few that we already have.”
This only leaves one wondering whether these UCU chaps won’t be inviting us for baby showers and baptism parties 9 months from now.
