Bishop Stuart University (BSU), a Mbarara based university, on Saturday 18th April joined the call of the president to donate food to those who were greatly affected by the COVID-19 situation.
The institution, spearheaded by the Chancellor Rt. Rev. Dr. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa donated items worth 10 million shillings. The items included 5 tons of maize flour, matooke, beans and many more.
They were received by the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Mbarara and the head of the taskforce in the district Lt Col James Mwesigye.
The relief items that were donated are expected to be served to the vulnerable communities to help them survive in this period.
